Project Rooftop es una gran página surgida, como los mejores proyectos, del puro entusiasmo. Dean Trippe, un joven dibujante, decidió que era una buena idea promover una serie de “memes” en internet que consistían en rediseñar heroínas famosas. Al principio fue una competencia que se centraba en Batgirl, competencia que rompió records de presentaciones en Live Journal. A partir de ahí decidieron armar este sitio, un lugar donde distintos dibujantes, amateur y no, envían makeovers de sus héroes favoritos.
El último gran meme era el rediseño de Wonder Woman, a tiempo para el relanzamiento del comic con los guiones de Gail Simone. Pero mi favorita sin lugar a dudas es esta entrada en la que una dibujante llamada Jenna Salume le da una vuelta a TODOS los Robins. Miren ese Tim Drake con toda la onda y díganme si no les gustaría que todos sus superhéroes fueran tan casuales y cool.

The difference here, the difference which will sell several hundred thousand copies of this album, is in the hype, the thick overlay of teenage-revolution and total-energy-thing which conceals these scrapyard vistas of cliches and ugly noise.

Y no, al viejo Lester no le gustaba una mierda ese disco (me pregunto que habrá pensado entonces de los discos de mierda que grabaron después).
